Thanks for visiting Sweet Violets cloth diaper and eco-friendly family gear store, where our family is helping yours to save money and the earth! We're a family-run business based in Mahoning County, Ohio, about halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Our little business was born in 2009, after the birth of our first child. In fact, the business is named after her! During my pregnancy, we decided to use modern cloth diapers as a way to cut costs so I could afford to stay at home with our growing family. We quickly became frustrated to find there were no local shops where we could see the diapers, ask questions about them and figure out what would work best for us. I shopped online blindly, overspending as I guessed what we might need.
I didn't know anyone locally who used cloth diapers who I could turn to for advice.
I didn't know the difference between a pocket and a fitted, what a wet bag was for, the benefits of microfiber vs. hemp or bamboo.

We were lost. But we were committed, so we rolled up our sleeves and jumped in head-first.
Now, years later, we’ve had two in cloth (diapers and trainers!) and couldn't be happier. Using cloth is not only economical for us, it’s one little way we’re practicing sustainability and living in a financially and ecologically responsible way.

All products in our store are ones we have personally used and can vouch for -- it's our promise to you that each and every product we bring in is of the highest quality and usefulness. Everything you see on our site is in-stock, too, because we know that sometimes you just NEED something right now!
I have done consulting and one-on-one meetings to help other local mamas get started with cloth diapers and never hesitate to answer questions from those who oooh and aaah as they curiously watch me change cute diapers in public restrooms, along with web consultations with new mamas across the country. These aren’t your grandmother’s cloth diapers! Today’s cloth diapers are modern, cute, functional and completely addictive.
